What life is like as an AWAC pilot
This page gives a play-by-play walk through of what it's like to work as a pilot at Air Wisconsin. It brings to light the working hours, conditions, and schedule of a regional airline pilot.

The Truth about hourly pay rates
This article examines the myth surrounding pilot pay rates, and why management often quotes our "hourly" pay rate yet fails to mention their true earnings potential.

Mobile Profession
This page descibes the basic route structure of the airline industry, seniority, as well as why it's so hard for airline pilots to pack up and move to another carrier if their airline goes out of business.

Commuting
Talks about the commuting aspect of being a pilot - that is living in one city and working in another. It also touches on why commuting is necessary for the average Air Wisconsin pilot.

Work Rules
Pilots at Air Wisconsin are paid for block time (scheduled flight time) or actual flight time, whichever is greater.  At Air Wisconsin, we also get paid certain minimums depending upon our total duty time, trip time, and the total amount of flying that is scheduled or actually occurs on a given day. These work rules are the duty rig, the trip rig and minimum day pay.
